The Memory Detectives front cover

Welcome!

Perhaps you know someone with Alzheimer's, or some other type of memory loss? In The Memory Detectives, an elderly lady, Hattie, seems to have forgotten many things about her past, but three young friends and their new Polish classmate, Milena, gradually find ways to help Hattie remember...

But can what she tells them possibly be true?

It is not always easy to talk to someone with memory loss but I hope that by following the twists and turns in this story readers may gain some useful ideas.

The book is illustrated throughout. It would suit Key Stage 2 readers who can tackle quite a lot of text but appreciate plenty of illustration too.

When dementia strikes an elderly lady, four young friends succeed in unlocking the secrets of her past. An exquisitely touching story about a little-known part of World War 2 History.
